Copthill Compete at ISA East Regional Cross Country

Year 5 and 6 students enjoyed an exhilerating cross country experience at the ISA East Regional Championship this past Friday.

The team, made up of 6 boys and 6 girls from Upper School, remained highly competitive and determined throughout the event, all earning places in and around the top 50 places. Praise, in particular, should be given to Reuben Isaac and Felix Bowling  (both Y6) for thir 12th and 14th place finishes respectively, as well as Emily Darrell (Y5) and Gemma O'Flaherty (Y6) on their positions of 20th and 21st. The girls' sqauad finished 6th overall, whilst the boys ranked 4th - an excellent achievement by all standards.

The whole day was a fantastic experience, the stunning forest landscape of Finborough only improved by the consistent sunshine. The students had time to explore thhe course, which featured some very difficult uphill terrains. Following the race, they were treated to a barbeque for their hard efforts.

Congratulations to all of Copthill's runners for their outstanding effort!
