In the Nursery we aim to offer a wide variety of activities with structured sessions. The class is staffed by a qualified Infant Teacher and an Assistant. The class size is kept small
in order to allow each child to receive plenty of individual tuition.
Intellectual, social skills and independence is achieved through play activities, sand and water, construction toys, imaginative play, small P.E. apparatus, art and music. There are also safe outdoor play areas.
A daily routine is organised, including a “circle time” to encourage the development of listening and talking skills. Activities are constantly changed to stimulate the children.
- Nursery children are welcome to stay for the afternoon session, once they have settled into their routine. Afternoon activities include: art, cookery, music, PE and nature walks
- Children are supervised in the Nursery from 8.30-8.50am and from 3.20–5.30pm for the convenience of parents
- To establish some stability, we suggest that your child attends a minimum of two sessions each week. This may gradually be increased as the year progresses
- Parents may decide which days they wish their child to attend, depending on
availability
