Mrs Hesford’s Year 5 English group have been learning about the impacts (both negative and positive) of famous people on discrimination throughout historical times. In English, we have been finding out about Kristallnacht (The night of broken glass) and building up ideas about emotions and descriptive detail about the event. Today, we wrote by candlelight with some gentle piano music playing so that we could really imagine we were a Jewish child witnessing these harrowing times. The writing produced was just incredible!
