Bee Amazed!

Another fabulous week of learning in Year 3. We continued extending our knowledge about the wonders of bees. We now know the important role that bees have during the pollination process. During our Outdoor Learning sessions we have focussed on plants and flowers. We identified parts of the flower to complete our understanding of the pollination process. This was also a helpful weeding activity! Here are a few photos of our learning and wonderful clay creations:

We are in the process of making a huge bee collage. The photos show how the children have been carefully colouring each piece which when put together will make a huge bee picture. We hope to share that with you next week! Our model bees are completed and what a fine job the children have done! Once painted, we added wire for their wings and pipe cleaners for their legs. Just look at them – aren’t they cute!

Athletics club got a little more competitive this week as we fine-tuned our sprinting technique. The children were super fast. Unfortunately Monty found it a little chilly on the sport’s field as the wind whistled around us straight from the North Sea….maybe we will have warmer weather for Athletics next week…..
