Busy Bees!

It is the end of another busy week in Year 1 which started with the children performing their Christingle service and ended with a soggy walk in the ‘snowy sleet’.

This morning 1H were learning about how shadows are formed and had great fun making their own shadow puppets and creating stories.

In 1F the children have been exploring number and understanding that teen numbers are made up of tens and ones. They were able to use a variety of manipulatives to represent numbers.

Next week brings us to the end of term. We have been busy making many Christmas Crafts, could you please put a carrier bag into your child’s bag next week so we can get them home safely.

As our usual Lower School Christmas party in the Hall has had to be cancelled we are delighted to say that we are holding our own Year Group celebrations on Friday 11th December. The teachers are putting on their Christmas regalia and hoping to have a great, festive, fun-filled morning playing games and enjoying some party food. You do not need to supply anything for your child but we do ask that they wear their own clothes and maybe a colourful Christmas jumper!
