Year 4 enjoyed a fabulous afternoon learning about chocolate. A virtual visit to Cadbury World in Bournville began our session where we learnt about how chocolate is made from bean to bar, further developing our understanding of farming around the world and the need for fairtrade.
We then tested our tastebuds with a blind taste test to see if we could recognise the difference between, milk, dark and white chocolate.
Next we got serious about tasting and using the 4 principles (appearance, smell, texture, taste) and rated 4 different chocolates. Which was your favourite?
Ohh what was that sensation?

We then created our own masterpiece choctastic marshmallow sticks to enjoy on campover.
Perhaps we have inspired a chocolatier of the future?
