Christmas Countdown!

We’re so close now, almost the Christmas holidays. Everyone is doing such a great job, fighting the dreaded lurgy and cold, battling through the chilly temperatures and remaining focussed even with all of the Christmassy excitement going on around us – next week will be officially busy as the ‘proper’ countdown begins. However that hasn’t stopped us this week from getting into the festive swing of things. In art and forest school the children made some lovely decorations for the tree. We would love to see photos of the pom-pom baubles and wooden snowmen on your trees! Feel free to email them to Miss Gardner or Mrs Underwood.

In maths we have continued with shape, taking our learning outside for a 3D shape hunt and we have also been playing the children’s independent explorer homework board games that we set at the beginning of the half term – there is still time this weekend to get yours finished and for you to share them next week. Remember Miss Gardner’s maths group are to make a board game about number bonds and Mrs Underwood’s group are to make one about multiplication.

On Thursday 15th December we have the Lower School Christingle service, we look forward to seeing you there watching your child. Some children have lines in their book bags, please could you practise them over the weekend? Thank you 🙂
