Superb performance by our B team who began the game with total confidence, scoring our first goal within minutes and leading by 2-0 at half time. Witham fought back and secured 2 goals so all to play for in the final stretch. A strong Copthill defence kept Witham at a draw. An exciting game and a fantastic team spirit!
We were very lucky the weather held out for our final matches of the season. The A team started with confidence and made some nice passages of play. We talked about trying to keep high when up front and Matilda worked hard to offer this. Bailey’s work rate was superb and she was really switched on to where the ball needed to be taken from. The opposition noticed her efforts and rewarded her with their player of the match.
