Grab your compass and a coffee, we’re off to find some treasure!
Welcome back to another week of the blog and what a quick week it has been for us pirates here at Copthill!
You will be very impressed when I tell you all that your children have been learning how to use a compass this week, so maybe try testing them this weekend on a hike in the countryside to find some Pirate treasure. I will recommend you taking extra sandwiches just in case!
Math’s has been really interesting this week as we have been looking at which numbers are greater than, using our crocodile arms. The children have also been using chalk to draw number lines on the playground. We then changed from being crocodiles to frogs and bounced our way along our number lines in 2’s and 5’s.
We have also been talking a lot about thoughts and feelings. In English we spoke about the thoughts and feelings of the characters in the book we are reading. We then made compliment envelopes in RE so we’re able to express our kind thoughts to our friends.
Please make sure your child has a waterproof coat, named water bottle, wellies and waterproof trousers in school.
