Many of our children love to play with the dinosaurs so this week we have built upon this interest with a dinosaur themed week to help reinforce our Read Write Inc sound /d/. The children have made clay imprints, searched the sand pit for dinosaur bones, created dinosaur pictures using paper shapes and joined in stomping like dinosaurs in music and movement. Dinosaurs have been hidden in sand, water and foam as well as in and around the gardens and outside areas. The children enjoyed searching for the numbered footprints and dipping dinosaurs in paint and mud to create footprint pictures.
