European Languages Day!

Copthill celebrated the European Day of Languages on Monday! As Reception have begun learning French, we thought it would be fun to find out a little more about France and French culture.  The children made a fantastic collage from natural materials of the Eiffel Tower, painted their own “tricolore” flags and learnt how to play a French playground game called “Petits poissons” which they loved!  We also talked about the food we might eat if we were on holiday in France – croissants, baguettes and macarons sounded yummy, but for some reason the children weren’t at all enthusiastic about the idea of French people enjoying snails!!  Bravo everyone!
