This week we are continuing with our nursery rhyme topic by looking at the song Old Macdonald had a Farm. The children have loved visiting the Copthill animals including the pigs, donkeys, sheep, chickens and goats where they have carefully helped to feed them. The children have also loved their bumpy journey up the track to see a tractor on the Copthill farm as part of their Forest School sessions. In the classroom the children have been busy singing about animals, trying to guess the animal from the clues and listening to animals sounds. There have been matching games, where the children have had to pair up the baby animal with the adult animal, along with themed puzzles and books. To help reinforce our Read Write Inc sound of the week /p/ the children have been busy making pink pigs using a variety of paper shapes.
