In circle time this week we have been singing the song Five Little Ducks. The children showed the different amounts on their fingers and we talked about taking one away and having one less. The children were encouraged to try and sequence the numbered ducks in order and find the numbered ducks in the water play tray. The play tray also had number fans and foam numbers for number spotting and matching. There were also some pipettes and pots to fill, strengthening little hand muscles. The children have been able to join in with some themed activities including making their own five duck picture by cutting out and sequencing the numbered ducks.
