Year 3 have been studying “Extreme Earth” in our Dance lessons. We have looked at volcanoes, earthquakes, tornados and tsunamis. We have learnt about unison, cannon and mirroring and how to perform these with movements. Today the children created their own pieces to demonstrate each of the examples of extreme earth whilst trying to incorporate their new dance language. For those children who enjoy a challenge, they also tried to include the emotions people might feel.
We have been creating some storyboards for our healthy biscuits adverts. The children worked in pairs to produce a storyboard for their advertisement. As they say ‘two heads are better than one’ – between them they came up with some wonderful ideas for a name of the product and the scenario.
Love is in the air! Look at our beautifuly hearty trees finished off with a finger knitted hanging loop! What tremendous skills to create a beautiful composition!
3D went on a very needy mission to the bees this week to check up on the fondant feed in each hive. Mission accomplished the bees were very happy too!
