JR Teesdale Memorial

A heartfelt note to thank you for all your very kind words and thoughts. Please forgive our impersonal reply, but we have simply been overwhelmed with condolences and see this as the best way to get an immediate thank you back to you all.

John wasn’t at his best this year, never being one to feel incapable, but we were all taken by surprise by the events of last Tuesday. Mercifully he was in peace, at home, with us all around, as he had so wanted. We can’t quite see it yet, but there is a big void in our lives. Sadly and slowly we have to adjust to a new reality, made doubly complicated by the ever increasing impact of world events.

Fortunately, we are blessed with a large, close family, all of whom have all returned to rally round and offer support. That support has been greatly enhanced by the numerous kind words, thoughts and actions of so many who knew and loved John. We are so grateful to you for thinking of us, and for taking the time to share your memories of John; a beloved husband, father and grandpa; his gentle character, his quiet humour, his skillful practicality, his unswerving support for Mum and us all, and perhaps something he never quite appreciated about himself; his great courage and endeavour in building such a fantastic family business with Mum, a true legacy.

In this challenging time it has become increasingly difficult to plan an opportunity for us all to come together to celebrate John’s life and say goodbye. Sadly, it will almost certainly have to wait for a later date. To keep you up to date with arrangements and keep in touch, send condolences, and find information regarding donations in John’s memory please follow this link to a JR Teesdale Memorial we will update this page with information.

We have also set up a Just Giving page.  Despite his illness, Dads sudden decline took us all by surprise. We will be eternally grateful to St Barnabas for their immediate care and compassion when we needed it most. If you are able to offer a little support to these amazing people, in Johns memory, we would be most grateful  https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/johnteesdale .

with all our love and grateful thanks
