Let’s build!

A fraction wall and snowmen!

Year 3 and 4 took advantage of the rare occasion of having a fairly substantial amount of snow on the school field. We wrapped up and headed out there for a little fun! Snow angels were made, snowballs were thrown, snow walls and snowmen were built! We retreated back to the warmth for a welcomed drink of hot chocolate with marshmellows! Such a treat.

We have also made a Fraction Wall which was a fantastic tool for us to use when finding equivalent fractions:

Let’s build!, Copthill School

Look at the beginnings of our little treat for our Mummies – the children’s fingers were very busy rolling paper to make a beautiful posy of paper hyacinths. We are sure that like them that they were very much appreciated!

And then….. it was RED NOSE DAY! We all took part in a whole school quiz which was a little challenging, but high scores were achieved, we played games which were invented and hosted by Year 5 and School Councillors and had a most colourful day…

We have Celt Day to look forward to next week!
