Today was an exiting time when our parents and visitors could come and visit our school. We have been learning about the story called “After the Storm” by Nick Butterworth. We have used chalks to do observational drawings of beautiful autumn objects from outside and made some little playdough hedgehogs too.
We acted out the story with Percy the Park Keeper and thought about how he made a new home for all the animals when their houses blew down in the terrible storm. It was fun making masks of the characters and decorating squirrel models with leaf tails!
We loved making clay hedgehogs outside and looking for autumn colours and change. What a very happy day we all have had!
