This week we have been learning about the different planets in our solar system. Planets have been displayed in the space themed role play area and play trays have been set up to look like different planets, with a variety of textures and materials for the children to explore. The children have used water filled balloons to print planets onto black paper, looking at the colours and predicting what would happen as the colours mixed. The children had to take care and hold the balloons gently so they would not pop!
