Pop and Crackle!

Welcome back to the last blog before we go on our last half term of the school year! What an amazing few weeks we have had and we are so lucky to of been back in school enjoying every part of Copthill.

In forest school we had four different activities we could choose from. This included using a spoogle and making popcorn over the fire, we then had this for snack which was super yummy! Some of us made dinosaur worlds and car mazes using trowels and guttering. The last group made cleaver juice using sticky weed out of the forest. We all tried this with our popcorn.

In math’s we have been looking at time and using clocks. Time can be hard to learn and the Year 2 have taken it all in their stride. Get your children to help you tell the time at home and this might also help them have a lie in! They are very good at letting the teachers know when it’s lunch time! Having a watch might help them get used to telling the time.

Make sure you take some time to recharge your batteries ready for a busy five weeks!

You will have found handwriting and number formation booklets in your child’s reading folder. One or two parents have asked for them so we have given these to each child in case you would like to do any work on these at home. You may find that your child doesn’t need to complete either or all of the booklets, but they are there if you wish to use them.

Enjoy your week off and stay safe!
