Year 1 have been learning about Native American Indians in our creative curriculum lessons. In forest school the children have been making bow and arrows, building fires and imagining life as it was 400 years ago in America. In class, we have been making clay pots, decorating beautiful headdresses, designing a beaded necklace and listening to traditional tales in the real Copthill teepees. The children looked incredible in their outfits and made our Powhatan Day come to life.
