Prehistoric Revelations

We have been learning about the discovery of the Lascaux Caves over 80 years ago of prehistoric paintings – the earliest known paintings from over 17,000 years ago! We went on a virtual tour of the caves. We visited all the different halls and rooms and saw some of the 600 paintings in there. From this we set too and made our very our own cave paintings of bison, horses and cows!

We have had some amazing examples of roundhouses created by some of our Independent Explorers – these were especially helpful when we were learning about them during our history lesson. We learnt about making a roundhouse, where their tribal villages were located and what would be needed inside them.

Prehistoric Revelations, Copthill School

We were treated to a musical rendition in the dining hall this week. It was so wonderful to hear how talented our young musicians are:

What a treat to capture such a wonderful sight this week – here is it is! Just in case you missed it!
