Stamford Town Hall hosted Year 4 to explain what happens there now and in the past. We were lucky enough to sit in the Mayor’s Parlour and view all of the ‘Town Jewels’ including a stunning mace to represent the monarch and the Royal Charters which are kept under lock and key. Next, we went to the Council Chamber and reenacted how law and order were kept in centuries gone by. Finally, it was time for a great debating session in the Debating Chamber to round off our visit. What a fantastic morning!
