The Learning Support department aims to help all pupils maximise their academic potential. This is done in collaboration with pupils, parents and staff.
We have an ethos of inclusion both in the classroom and in after school clubs. Our broad, balanced and differentiated curriculum takes into account the various learning styles that our pupils may have.
Where individuals may require further support, we are able to offer group, or one to one sessions with our experienced learning support team.
All pupils on the learning support register are monitored by the SENDCo. Through close communication between pupil, parents, class teachers and the Learning Support department we are able to offer every child an educational experience that promotes achievement and success.

The school has been particularly successful in demystifying mathematics for those who have struggled with the subject … an attitude of ‘maths without fear’ makes complicated aspects seem simple … this approach is particularly beneficial for pupils with SEND and those who find learning maths difficult.
