Oh my goodness…what a couple of weeks it has been in Year 3! The marketing teams have been in deep discussions for the development of the best packaging to showcase their smoothie, they also finalised their recipe for the smoothie itself then developed. It was all very cloak and dagger as each team has added a SECRET ingredient which was not be revealed until the taste testing took place! It has been wonderful to be a part of the great excitement and enthusiasm and seeing the children working within their teams has been a real joy. They have learnt to value each other’s input and some wonderful leadership skills have been displayed.

We have been working on prepositions during our grammar lessons. It was very clear that the usage of the word ‘adjacent’ was a winner alongside near to, beside, alongside, underneath and so it goes on and up above and beyond! Maths has been quite a challenge as not only have we been learning about measuring lines accurately (whilst being mindful of Mrs Donaldson’s Father’s wise words of ‘Meaure twice, cut once’), we have entered the world of conversion. MM to CM, CM to M, M to KM. We have also been learning the names and properties for 2D shapes, Fantastic skills!
In Forest School we have been learning about food chains. The chains were successfully sorted in the sunshine!
