Year 3

So long, farewell… have a great holiday!

Our final week with our lovely Year 3 children. Oh we can’t bear to dwell on it for too long! It is just too sad – what a fabulous year we have had with you all!

We have been busy dodging the rain this week and what better way to do it than with a good ol’ game of our favourite dodgeball!!

This week was all to do with mass and capacity in maths, so out came the scales and the measuring jugs for us to make mocktails and chocolate crispy cakes with the added ingredient of marshmallows – yum yum! We were estimating, weighing our ingredients aswell as designing our very own signature mocktails! It was a hive of sweet activity in the Year 3 classrooms – here we are in action!

Our very last day began with creating fantasy lands using Lego, then onto bingo for the willing participants – others delved into the wool box to continue with their love of finger knitting and Archie – very kindly helped Mrs Robinson with a few jobs around the classroom. Mrs Teesdale and Mrs Donaldson were the bingo callers (of course!). What fun we had! The lucky three winners had a dip into the raffle box. We finished the day back at the dam for an outdoor scavenger hunt.

Well that’s all folks! On behalf of the Year 3 team, we would like to thank you for a fabulous year. We have loved working with you all. Have a wonderful holiday and we look forward to welcoming your children back to school as they enter Year 4! We would also like to wish Archie the very best of luck at his new school, you will be missed – please keep in touch! Take care everybody.
