The B team stormed to victory confidently winning all four of their matches! 9-2, 7-1, 4-2 and 4-1! The girls’ first experience of 5-aside rotations went really well with lots of excellent defence and new shooting talent emerging! The fluidity across the court was a pleasure to watch and the shield trophy held high at the end was very well-deserved! Coach’s player awarded to Felicity.
The A team had their toughest game to start. It was against Witham and we took an early lead and then Witham came back strong. We managed to hold on to a 3-3 draw. We then had a tight 3-2 with Stamford, a confident 7-1 win against Laxton and finished 3-2 with Brooke. Bee Netball was a new experience for us and lovely to see the girls embrace different positions and structure. The girls drew on points with Witham and we finished runners up on goal difference. A superb afternoon of netball with a wonderful number of Copthill supporters which is always lovely!
