This week we are reading the Usborne ‘That’s Not My…’ books and feeling and describing the different textures featured within them. The play trays have been set up with a variety of textured materials for the children to explore. Today we took some templates to the Early Years garden and the children placed them on a variety of different surfaces including the grass, bench, fence and woodchip. The children used words such as ‘tickly’ and ‘rough’ to describe the different textures.
