The final chapter…

Sadly it’s time to say farewell to our fabulous Year 3 children. We have had a wonderful year together. We finished off the year with a plentiful picnic for our buddies in the woods and paddling in the dam. Year 3 prepared the picnic for them. Here are some photos of the day.

Earlier in the week, we had a fantastic afternoon this week to draw a close to our learning about India. We made naan bread, cooked samosas and onion bhajis, drank mango lassi, made rangoli patterns using coloured rice and had hendi tattoos drawn on our hands. It was brilliant!

During our final art lesson we created beautiful images of the Taj Mahal add an extra sunset glow on the finished piece – they looked rather serene.

Year 3 have been doing a bit of twitching in their Forest School session – they identitfied different breeds of birds then made some beautiful birds on a stick!

We hope you have a wonderful summer – take care and keep cool! We look forward to being back in September with our new Year 3 when we will be learning about the clashes between Athens and Sparta! How exciting!!
