We have had another amazing week in Reception, the weeks are flying by! We have been using the story of “The Very Hungry Caterpillar” to learn about healthy eating, looking after ourselves and the life cycle of the butterfly.
We have been hunting for eggs, caterpillars, pupae and butterflies using our sweep nets. We have been making some fantastic symmetrical artwork butterflies with natural materials, paint and collage too.
We have talked about the way in which we can stay healthy by eating lots of fruit and vegetables that contain vitamins. We even went on a journey around the school grounds looking for fruits and vegetables.
Today we had an exciting journey into the science pod to look at the night sky and stars. What a fabulous week!
