Copthill U11A hockey team played in a mini festival at Oundle School on Wednesday 1st February.
It was a lovely day for a run out on the hockey field and there was some super hockey on show.
The festival consisted of 4 teams which included Kimbolton, Stamford and Laxton. So a good calibre of opposition in preparation for the upcoming U11 ISA National Hockey Competition.
The boys started with the toughest opponents, Kimbolton! They are notoriously very good, passing the ball around with slickness and have a powerful strike. However, we held our own against them and eventually drawing 1-1 after having changed to win!
We drew the other matches against Stamford and Laxton 0-0.
All the boys played brilliantly and good luck to them all at ISA next Tuesday.
