So fixtures are back! The girls had a wonderful afternoon in the sun playing in a tournament hosted by Laxton at Oundle. Both the A and the B team played against Brooke Priory, Bedford Girls and Witham in their pool games. Both progressed in 3rd place into the playoffs.
Firstly both teams met Bedford Modern. The B team took and exciting 3-2 win to catapult them to the final. The A team finished 1-1 so it was penalty shuffles for the win.
Both Playoff Finals drew Laxton and both went to penalty shuffles! The girls stepped up in a very pressured situation and used their 8seconds to try and beat the Goalie. The A team finished Playoff Winners and the B team finished Playoff Runner Ups.
A special mention must go to both goalkeepers who did exceptionally well facing the opponents penalty shuffles.
A team player of the tournament was awarded to Tabitha.
B team player of the tournament was awarded to Flo.
