Some Y6 boys travelled all the way to Southend on Sea for the Regional ISA 5 a-side Football Tournament held at Alleyn Court Prep School on Friday 28th January.
The boys had stayed the night before the tournament and were very excited about the day. They started off really well winning the first game 1-0 which put us in a good position form the off. That was followed by a couple of 0-0 draws which meant we lost a bit of ground on some of the other teams in a league of 8. We finished the group losing 2, winning 2 and drawing 3. Other teams in the group were taking points of others and it was a real topsy-turvy group!
We ended up finishing 5th in our group and therefore didn’t make the Nationals at St Georges Park.
Great credit must go to all the boys who represented Copthill fantastically well and I was very pleased with their efforts throughout the day.
