Un, Deux, Trois…

Un, Deux, Trois…

We have been learning our numbers and colours in French for when we are allowed to go to France!

In PSHE we have been looking at the difference between wants and needs. Year 2 have a brilliant understanding on what we need to keep us healthy and what we would like but don’t need. One example was 1000 horses and 54 puppies! (That is definitely a need!)

RE was about how we can make the world better and look after all the beautiful places in the world. We then spoke about how things such as littering and vandalism can have a negative impact on these lovely areas.

In Forest School some of us went on a summer scavenger hunt and the other half of year 2 did some Hapa Zone ancient Japanese art. This turned out really well and luckily we had some amazing weather so we were able to forage for different things. We were so busy making sure we didn’t hit our fingers with the mallets, we didn’t get any pictures!

We have also been reading some more of Harry the Poisonous Centipede and looking at comprehension work related to the story. This has helped us to understand the story properly and improve our sentence skills.

Our song is coming along brilliantly and if there was a contest between us and S Club 7 I’m not sure who would win!

Please make sure your child has got long bottoms in school for Forest School because of the stinging nettles. Also make sure your child has got sun cream on and a sun hat to wear. This is especially important as it is meant to heat up again next week and we have sports day and our zoo trip.

Also, please remember our NO NUT policy for our trip next week. This is extremely important as we have some nut allergies within the year group. Please make sure your child has water and not juice.

Have a lovely weekend.
