We took both U9 and U11 teams to Witham to compete in a fierce field of talent involving 9 different schools. We were blessed with sunny weather, more enjoyed by the spectators than the runners!
The U9’s started the afternoon and both raced over 1.5km, special mention must go to Boogie and Moss who both took top 6 finishes. The children ran extremely well across the board and as a team the boys finished 2nd and the girls were placed 6th.
Next it was the turn of the U11’s to take on a 2.5km run, a big jump up from the U9’s. All the boys and girls ran wonderfully, really digging in through a fast paced race. Joshua brought the team home for the boys and Sophie finished 7th leading for the girls. Overall the girls were placed 6th and the boys 4th.
A wonderful afternoon of running and a massive thank you to all the positive parent support that came to join us for the fixture.
