Year 2 Diary: Part 3

Trip information: Please remember to come into school on Monday morning in PE kit for the trip, with a packed lunch and a drink. Please note, spellings will take place on Tuesday 25th January.

We have been learning all about Neil Armstrong this week, ahead of our trip to the National Space Centre next week. We are so excited! It has been great learning about him. He is famous for being the first person to step foot on the moon. He was born in America and fell in love with flying when he his Dad took him flying at 6 years old. He learned how to fly a plane before he could drive a car!

We had fun making shooting rockets in art this week – they need a lot of puff but they can definitely launch!! In fire school we have been improving our fire starting skills ahead of our take on the Great fire of London which will be happening before half term. Don’t forget to make a start on your Tudor model houses. We have continued to present our posters that we have been doing at home – it is so interesting seeing who everyone picks to talk about. We look forward to hearing from more of you.
