The Copthill Journey

Each step of the way, from Early Years, through Lower School and onto Upper School, our children receive an education tailored to ensure they develop academically and personally.

The Copthill Learner

The knowledge, skills and attitudes of The Copthill Learner equip our children with fundamental principles required throughout their lives.

The Curriculum

A broad, comprehensive and creative education with the highest expectations, our broad curriculum emphasises the importance of literacy, numeracy, science and languages.

It is designed to develop lifelong knowledge, skills and attitudes which encourages our children to become responsible, independent, creative and resilient.

A Flying Start

The Early Years, incorporating the Nursery and Pre-School classes, provide the ideal start to school life in a nurturing, safe and stimulating environment. Through a carefully planned combination of activities supervised by our Early Years team, we aim to encourage independence, social skills and intellectual development in our thoughtfully-designed, welcoming classrooms and play areas.

The Copthill Challenge Scheme

The Copthill Challenge Scheme (CCS) has been designed to challenge our children from Years 4-6 by providing an incentive to participate in the huge variety of opportunities that are on offer at school, that are not part of the curriculum.

The House System

One of the characteristics of the Copthill Learner is the ability to be a team player. Pupils from Reception to Year 6, and all members of staff, are proud to belong to one of the four school houses.
