The Young Shakespeare Company have led an incredible interactive performance of Shakespeare’s A Midsummer’s Night’s Dream for Year 5 and 6 to begin their English study into this timeless play. In the immersive experience, the children had to be the soundscape to the magical forest, take on individual roles including the fairies, Hermia, Helena, Theseus, Demetrius, Lysander and Snout and quote lines for key characters. The comedy had the whole of upper school in stitches and reciting huge sections of Shakespeare with ease! We can’t wait to study this further over the next few weeks.
