Year 4 had a lovely end to this half term, making pancakes in Forest School! Although a week early, the children were more than excited to be in the woods mixing and flipping their pancakes on the fire.
We have been studying fossils and volcanoes in Year 4, and the children have been listening with fascination to what Mr Campbell had to say!
This lead nicely onto our next topic in English, writing a story about Mount Vesuvius’ eruption. The children started by acting out the story from the book, before planning their own stories on paper, and finally they completed writing them today. The vivid imagination these children have is just amazing, and hearing the eruption put into words is absolutely terrifying!
