We had SUCH a fun day this week for our Pirate day. We were lucky to have amazing weather which meant we were able to get out on the river in the afternoon and set sail to Dead Man’s Island! Highlight of the day for sure and a first for quite a few which was super exciting. In the morning the children took part in a pirate initiation scavenger hunt. They had to follow clues that took them all around Copthill and at the end they found out whether they had passed the pirate test and become a member of the crew. Everyone passed and were either part of the Buccaneer crew or the Scallywag crew! They also did some pirate arts and crafts and were treated by the kitchen staff to an amazingly delicious pirate themed lunch! Once on Dead Man’s Island in the afternoon, Captain Teesdale told us tales about the island and we went on a hunt in search of the hidden treasure! The children had a fantastic day and all looked amazing, thank you to everyone who helped organise such a fun day.
