The bird box in the quad has been occupied again this year by some blue tits. We have been watching the birds fly to and from the box building their nest for a little while now and this week we were all delighted to hear the chirping of baby birds. The children have been told to play quietly near the tree and it is lovely to hear them reminding each other. We took some time this week to lay quietly on our tummies to watch the parent birds return to the nest with food and to listen to the chirps of the chicks. The children thought this was amazing and watched and waited patiently.
