In Creative Curriculum this week, groups were asked to research their claimant’s claim to the throne after Edward the Confessor died.
Another group were the Witan Council, and their job was to hear the speeches and weigh up which claimant was the most valid based on age, family ties, promises given to them by Edward and other factors.
4M decided Harald Hardrada (Hard Ruler) should be the next King!!
Also this week, Copthill hosted the annual Cross Country competition. Many other schools from the area attended, and children from Year 3 to 6 participated.
