We have been out and about this week on our wonderful campus seeking physical and human features. The children loved this activity and enjoyed the fresh air along with the beautiful flora and fauna!
3D have enjoyed looking at atlases and finding capital cities of many countries using grid references. They then looked at maps of their own localities and learnt about Piet Mondrian. From there we learnt how to use a compass to draw a circle around pinpoint where we are at school and our own homes. Look at our fantastic Mondrian maps!
In our Forest School session this week the children learned about pollination and identifying the male and female parts of a flower – they found it truly fascinating.
