The Young Shakespeare Company visited Copthill today and the Y5/6 children discovered that something was rotten in the state of Denmark, as they were immersed in the tragic story of Hamlet.
The children were riveted as the story unfolded and many took on roles as various characters. There was laughing, fear, consternation and surprise on every face at different moments until the final, dramatic scene saw all the main characters lying dead. A wonderful performance as always and a fine way to start our topic work on this wonderful play of William Shakespeare’s.
