Launching on the Seven Seas

Yo ho ho and away we go! We are almost ready to set sail for a well deserved 2 weeks’ holiday! That will mean a fond farewell me hearties to our Pirate topic as we make way for our next topic when we return.

We had a few more boats to look at. There was such an amazing fleet that had been shared in our classrooms made from so many different materials. A massive well done to the children and parents for such a tremendous effort. We have loved the presentations of each one.

We have been looking at using different time conjunctions to retell events. Here are some children who have used a fine variety them!

We have paid a return visit to the fourth largest island this week. Do you know that Madagascar is home to the smallest chameleon and has over 100 different types of orchids. We found out such facts and more when we looked at a fact file during our comprehension lesson this week and did some very clever sorting in our Creative Curriculum lesson:
