Monday was a beautiful day for a minibeast and microhabitat walk – into the woods, along the river and back through the fields. We lifted logs, crept under branches and swept away leaves looking for our little minibeast friends. We found spiders, ladybirds, a badger set, rabbit warrens, lots of insects and some interesting looking eggs! The children can’t wait to do this walk again in spring time to compare our findings!
Next week, we will be joined by the Partake History company who will be delivering a ‘Sleeping Beauty’ workshop. We are looking forward to dressing up and playing the roles of the king and queen, the princess, the courtiers and the seven magic fairies! Watch this space!
