The children enjoyed a lively music and movement session today. The session started with the children tapping out their names on the drum and copying some simple patterns. The session then focused on playing the instruments quickly and slowly as well as quietly and loudly. The children lay down on the floor for Dingle Dangle Scarecrow and Hop Little Bunnies, holding their instruments still until jumping up to play them loudly. The children also joined in with some action songs and marched around the room playing drums. The children were able to select their instruments from the trolley and try out all of the different ones on offer allowing them to experiment with the different sounds.
