In the final match of the season, the last time the Year 6 girls would wear their striped socks and represent Copthill in a hockey fixture and wow, did they make it one to remember!
I couldn’t have been more proud of each and every girl on the pitch. Both teams played wonderful hockey and put all the different things we have worked on across the season into practice on the pitch. We had width, we had go forward and best of all, we had girls who wanted to score…. and score we did!
The A team won 6-2 and the B team won 3-1. Oakham chose Flo and Reese as their players of the match and I would like to give coach’s players to Eliza and Felicity. Each and every girl player their socks off and really showed the parents who came to watch, the progression and development they have made.
