We had a lovely morning today. Lots of people came to visit our school during Open Morning. We were doing some activities around the story of “The Snail and the Whale”. We went pond dipping to look at some aquatic insects. We gathered leaves for our land snails to eat in the classroom and studied how they could survive and details about their bodies. We made little snails from playdough and acted out the story of the whale and the adventures of the snail. We talked about camouflage and made some collage snails whilst thinking about adjectives to describe them.
