P-A-DD-ING-TON, Paddington Bear

Paddington Bear has continued to be a hot topic of conversation in Year 2 this week, in our creative curriculum lessons we used our time to learn more about Peru and its traditions such as dress, food, festivals and cities and in partners we created a factfile about the birth place of Paddington. We also created passports for Paddington with information about him as a bear. In art they children made individual Paddington’s out of loo rolls and now it would seem that we have an army of Paddington’s in Miss Gardner’s classroom – marmalade sandwiches and all!

This week the children completed their reading and writing assessment which took place at the beginning of the week and they all handled it brilliantly and tried really hard. Next week, we will be having a go at the maths end of year assessment. No need to panic, we are just going to have a go and try out best 🙂

During forest school this week, the children were learning all about knots, plus had to show teamwork during a den building exercise and also went to meet our new arrivals on the farm – two little lamb twins. All in all another fantastic week. Have a lovely weekend.
