Wow! What a start to our year. Our strings project has now begun in Year 2. Ms Libby Summers from Stamford Strings led a session with the year group on how violins are made which was fascinating and gave our new young learners important tips on how to look after their precious instruments. We are using her 3 special words LOOK, LISTEN & LOVE to remind us of this.
This week we met our new instruments with Ms Llewellyn and learnt their names and how to take them out of the case and hold them in resting and playing positions.
Here we are trying our instruments out for the first time and making a sound!
What a great start to our string project. We can’t wait until next week when we start playing our first piece!
